I'm glad your fiancee is being rational about this. Sounds like a standup guy. I dated a guy that is HIV positive for a year and a half. I know you'll be as careful with Randy as my boyfriend was with me.

In the meantime, stay upbeat, exercise and eat right. A healthy lifestyle is your friend.

G'day

This is going to sound like denial, I guess. And also like one of the pathetically practical things that blokes say to avoid acknowledging emotion. But:

I can't help thinking of the approach Christopher Reeve has taken with his paralysis, viz: There will be a cure for AIDS one day. Your job is to keep yourself alive until that day. It may be tough. In fact, it will be tough. But you can do it.

Your career now is 'HIV survivor'. It's going to take diligence and determination. You are going to need vocational skills. Step One is to accept. Step Two is to learn. Step Three is to apply. I wish you the best of luck, but you aren't going to rely on luck. It's going to be knowledge and diligence that get you through.

Go get 'em, Tiger!

Regards,

Agback

Hi Angelsboi
You don't really know me, but I've read your posts here, and all I can say is I'm sorry and to keep on fighting. You've got a lot of friends here who are backing you up and giving you their support.

Well, your not the first person I have talked too who has come down with this. But everytime I hear it it's a giant punch in the gut. Hang tough.
