[ot] To Liquide, and other UK ENWorlders

I know Liquide is coming to England in the near future, I just wondered where he's going to be and when.

I can be in London until the 20th of January, so if you're around I'm more than happy to meet up with some UK ENWorlders for a beer or two...how about it?

I think there was another thread about this, but I've lost track of it. Sorry.

I lost track of it as well. I am wondering what's going on. Brighton <---> London isn't that big of a distance, depending on what part of London.

Rav, do you have a game going in Brighton at the moment? Cos I'm moving to back to Haywards Heath in the near future for a while, which is about 20mins away from Brighton station on a direct train. Wondered if you'd like to meet up sometime...are there any other ENWorlders in that area?

Will be in London 18th to the 21st, not sure of the adresses 'cept that is 9 minutes with train from (and first station after) Stansted airport :)

On the 18th I have some 4 hours to kill from 5pm BST to 10pm BST if we can find a nice pub there to meet up at.

Location in UK

OK, the town is named Bishop's Stortford - it is not the first station from the Airport, it is the second, the first being Stansted Mountfitchet, but that's a tiny village station, and the Stansted Express train doesn't stop there!

It is indeed a bit North of London... I suppose you would be wanting a map eh?

Oh alright then!

<a href="http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?X=549250&Y=221000&scale=5000&coordsys=gb">http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?X=549250&Y=221000&scale=5000&coordsys=gb</a>

You can figure out how to zoom that yourself...

There are several pubs in the local vicinity (I can think of 6 without even stretching my mind - I have a feeling there are more like 15) - Stortford is full of pubs...

I will be making my way home, expected to arrive by Train from London (Chiselhurst specifically) somewhere between 8pm and 10pm that night... I hope to make it earlier rather than later, but I never can tell, if the game overruns then it overruns...

Um - on the night I will try and drag everyone out to a decent pub (I think my current regular would be The Star I suppose, which is on Bridge Street, just a few paces from Maslens) and then finally (if I can get away with it) onwards to H2O - just make sure you wear something smart, no trainers, and if you look young, some ID.

The Sunday - I have no clue yet - I am yet to ask the local DM whether there is a slot in his game for a one-night player?

Otherwise, things are really well organised - I'm just really good at hiding it!

He'll be in Southampton for about 10 days from Jan 21st. Those in the Brighton area might be able to head over here for a day? It's not far.

I might wander up to London, and then come back down South on the train with him. Maybe. If so, it'd be cool to meet some folks.

Yeah, and I sure wanna play dnd in english aswell (it will feel a bit odd but I think I'll manage), and pubs can never get wrong either :)

Ah, checked the map a bit. Then checked my schedule, and I think the 60 mile trip to Southampton would be a lot better for me, considering that I do want to meet up with some EnWorlders during my one year stay in England at some point in time or other. Also, planning something during Liquides stay would be nice.

To Southampton I'd also be able to use my South Central Railcard, while to London I can't (at least not all the way).

So Morrus, what do you say?

Oh, Tallarn, I am not in a game in Brighton, so I can't help you there. I am technically in Falmer, University of Sussex BTW. Of course, meeting up with you sometime is perfectly acceptable. I think :D.

You've obviously haven't been to many English pubs :D.

Well actually, even though that smiley is there, English pubs run the gamut from great to absolutely awful. I don't know about Sweden, but I know that Dutch pubs just are more... homogenous. Let's just say that I do like the traditional English pub.

Fine with me. Pick a day!
