Oh, and if you haven't seen Bound, do. It's an amazing example of how you can make a great movie without a huge budget or special effects.

Not much of a mention - they seem more concerned about his dating/falling for that dominatrix than him playing D&D... not that there's anything wrong with that.

It's a good counterpoint to people who sneer that the Matrix movies are just a lot of flashy FX. No, these guys *do* know how to make a movie.
Or, possibly, it's a good counterpoint to people who claim the Matrix movies are worth the celluloid they're printed on. No, these guys *do* know how to make a movie.

They've just chosen to make a trilogy of crap.

Bound is pretty empty, at its core, but any film that features an extended sex scene between Jennifer Tilly and Gina Gershon simply cannot be *too* bad. Ai-yi-yi...

Ah, but that's the beauty of it--even if you hate all three Matrix movies with the fire of a thousand suns, you can't honestly say "Gee, these guys are the John Grisham of movies." No, they can write and direct, really.

Empty? I mean, it is a sleazy crime thriller, so I guess it isn't Baudelaire, but it's a damn fine movie of its genre. And it was nice for the sex scene to be interesting, and important to the film, rather than the usual action-movie groping.

But yeah, Gina Gershon nude didn't hurt. :D
