[OT] Who can you sing like?

I sing and play lead in a ska/punk/reggae band (we're called Blue Angel, but sometimes we go by Hey Zeus for fun).

I sing like Glenn Danzig (circa The Misfits) with a slight, slight tinge of Davey Havok (AFI).

In short: sexy, I hope.

I sing like Annie Lennox. I don't know why. I'm straight. I'm a big guy. I'm Texan. Somehow I sing like a skinny English pop diva. I can make myself sing more like Adam Duritz from the Counting Crows, or other college rockers. My voice is just more comfortable high, when I sing. I have better control.

Back in high school I used to be in a metal band with a few guys, but when time for college came around, we quit doing stuff together. Anyway, lots of people have told me I sound like Vince Neil (Motley Crue), although if I have a head cold, I sound a little like Ozzy.

Im told I sound like either Scott Stapp or Eddie Vedder, depending on who you ask.

I sound an awful lot like me. Funny that.

I can sound almost like the Sublime singer and Marilyn Manson.

I don't know who I sound like, but when I was young I won an award for my boyish soprano. Since then my voice broke and I'm probably a tenor or baritone now (I still remember a little of my formal opera training, but I'm too shy - and neighbour-considerate - to sing these days).

In an amusing twist, when I was at flight school driving back from the airport one day I discovered that nearly everyone in a full car of pilots had been singers earlier in their lives. Weird, no?

Cool. I've always liked Davey's voice.

Glenn Danzig, before he turned into the Cheesemaster of Evil, had one of the best voices I've ever heard. Luckily, my voice is that bass.

Hopefully my band can get some stuff digitally recorded, after which I'll definately post it here.
