I fell asleep twenty minutes into the episode for a good fifteen minutes. I'm just hoping that the series ender is worth two hours of staying awake for...

It was evasive, annoying crap as with 99% of x-files episodes in the last 5 years. Once again it says nothing about nothing and tries to be cool about it. I'd say I was looking forward to this show finally ending but I imagine Chris Carter will lay it on extra thick at the end rather than giving any sort of answers.

up to about two seasons ago I had been watching & taping X-files religously but after tyhat I gave up on the series, Just stopped being watchable to me.

Instead of ending the series with a bang they milked the cash cow dry

This pretty much sums up my attitude towards the show, although I gave up more than two seasons ago. It became obvious to me that Carter is just a <BEEP> (Actual opinion of Carter omitted in deference to Eric's Grandmother) who likes to put on his "I know something you don't know" look and jerk people around with his stupid "I'm going to let you in on something! -- Wait! No, I'm not!" game. He's like Lucy from the Peanuts with her stupid football and I decided a long time ago not to play his game. If someone tells me in a month they actually gave out some information, I'll talk to the people I know who tape it religiously and watch the final episode. Otherwise, forget it.

I'm starting to be glad that the series is ending if this is the best kind of writing they can come up with. The whole episode was lame and irritating.

To be honest, they started this "last 10 episodes" advertising and it has just pissed me off. While the last ep wasn't that great, at least it addressed the overarching plot instead of some weird tangent the last 6 episodes have been about.
