[OT] Your most used programs ...

WinXP keeps track of the programs you use the most in your start menu over time. The top 4 for me don't really move down, just around. The top 10 for me are:

  • 10: Microsoft Word
  • 9: Adobe Acrobat 5
  • 8: Norton 2002
  • 7: Ghost Recon
  • 6: Simcity 4
  • 5: Freelancer
  • 4: WinAMP
  • 3: Calculator
  • 2: WinRAR
  • 1: Notepad

How'ze about you?

bash keeps track of the programs I use most (in ~/.bash_history). Here they are:

10- gaim
9- xmms
8- python2
7- ssh
6- mozilla
5- emacs
4- bash
3- mv
2- ps
1- ls

-- Nifft, tongue in beek

This is just guessing, but seems likely...

1. Internet Explorer
2. Outlook
3. Visual Studio.NET
4. EditPlus (a text editor)
5. Microplanet Gravity (a newsreader)
6. Macromedia Dreamweaver
7. Outlook Express
8. SQL Server Enterprise Manager
9. Excel
10. Word

Kind of obvious that I'm a Windows web developer, eh?

Here's my guess:

IE
Outlook
Visual Studio .NET
Word
Excel
Calculator
Notepad
Paint Shop Pro
Trillian
Quicken

I know my WinXP list isn't accurate because I use the first three apps daily and the next two at least every other day. None of them are listed.
