Piratecat first told me about both ENWorld and Dragonsfoot a few months back, and I've been a regular poster on both ever since.
What I like best about ENWorld is the traffic with the vast number of gamers with interesting posts; the Story Hour where I regularly read several, and am also posting one of my own; and the Plots & Places board where I am currently getting help on a module I start in another week.
What I like best about Dragonsfoot is that there are others out there, like myself, that still share a love for the version that I began with 22 years ago. It's also not just for 1E, as they have messageboards for the other editions as well as other gaming systems. The comments tend to be well thought out and interesting, and there is original source material available that can be easily modified for any edition. That board has fairly low traffic, but that may change with the plug that it gets in the current issue of "Knights of the Dinner Table" (issue #74, page #74).
As for other boards....I'd love to check some of them out, but the above two take enough time away from working on my dissertation, so I'd best not.
