Other official compendiums you'd like to see?

I think a good compendium of locations would be nice. Something large with several catetories, good artwork and excellent cartography.
I think that's a good idea.

What about an artwork compendium?

How about an official compendium of converted 1st edition modules? If they're releasing them on the site, imagine how well they might sell. Maybe they can lump series together for the compendiums, such as the S series, and so on and so forth.

I'd love to have a classes/prestige classes compendium, and I think I'd get a lot of use from a magic item compendium.

Feats would be OK too, tho that's less burdensome to go thru the books for.

PS

None, thank you, unless they are mostly OGC. I don't need more stuff reprinted that I already own. Frankly a compendium of class/prcs is useless without the feats, spells, etc. that usually accompany new classes. Likewise, what good is a feat that buffs warlocks if you don't have access to the warlock class? The complete books were pretty good, but they weren't complete. YMMV.

That is a great idea, I'd buy that in a heartbeat!

I agree with this statement, for the most part. A compendium of feats would be such an overkill/rehash product. One with classes/prestige classes would almost as bad. I would not buy either. I also would shy away from a Races Compendium, as I prefer to create my own races.

That's the thing with a Spell Compendium, spells can stand on their own better than other facets of D&D. Now, I could see a Artifacts Compendium, as magic items tend to be like spells when it comes to being more seperate from the rest of the rules.

And while I'll likely buy the Spell Compendium, I'd rather buy the new DRAGON (R) Compendium coming out from Paizo, first. That compendium has me way more thrilled then any other product coming out, over the next little while. :D

BTW, I think the Complete series is the best set of splatbooks that WotC (and/or TSR) has ever produced. Like jmucchiello said, they're not perfect but they're still very well done. I'm definitely looking forward to Complete Psionics.

Cheers!

So if they were mostly OGC and were reprints, you'd buy it?

Mongoose already has two books of PrCs and one of Feats and AEG has one of feats. A third book of OGC material published by WoTC? That I'd pass on.

I do want to get my hand on the Spell Compendium. It is definetely a handy resource. I can't imagine a races comp selling too well, and the floof of PrCs and feats is just too much info to cram into a comp.

The Dragon Compendium will probably be the best supplemental product this year. I have preordered it. I cannot wait to have it in my hands.

Ditto. The usefulness may vary from person to person, but they do do an excellent jog of providing plenty of options.

A compendium each for Feats, Weapons, and Prestige Classes....though Weapons could be combined into one or the other...there aren't that many that I can think of.
