"Otyughs speak Common"?

I just can't get the image out of my head now, of a bunch of kobolds sneaking past the ogres to the garbage pit to ask the otyugh for advice.

"The Trash Heap has spoken! Nyaaah!"

but the idea of a Otyugh druid with two awakened rat cohorts is kind of cool

Reminds me of the time that my party faced an ogre who had a winter wolf on a leash. The ogre threw a baby at us (!) and attacked the biggest fighter, who killed it. The wolf hung back tactically and breathed ice at us. Check their respective INT scores - clearly the collar was on the wrong end of the leash.

Same thing with Goblin Worg riders - Worgs have both better wis and better cha than the goblins making the rider pretty much superfluous (although gobs are slightly smarter)

Otyughs area garbage eating creature from the MM
Kobolds are small draconic like humaniod creatures also from the MM
Fraggles are creatures from a TV show called Fraggle Rock, it is Muppet like.
THe Great Trash Heap is from the same show and was known for being very knowidgible and wise.

I was born in '86 and I GREW UP on that show. Best thing ever. And consider the Great Trash Heap yoinked for a d20 Modern Urban Arcana came
