Snufflelaphagus (Snuffy for short) are gentle and reclusive creatures who look like furry elephants with long eyelashes and no tusks. Snuffy are naturally invisible and can not be seen by anyone it does not allow to see it. However they are innately curious and will often seek out ‘special friends’ from members of other sentient races for whom they will become visible and attempt to communicate with.

Snuffy will not attack unless they are with no other means of escape or conflict resolution and are forced to defend themselves or their special friends. In this case they may use their trunks for slam attacks and stamp with their forelegs (hooves)

Snuffy may have a natural talent for magic and Snufflelaphagus scorcerers are spoken of in Snuffy legend.

Selective Visibility (Su): A Snuffy can not be seen by anyone it does not allow to see it, and is invisible at all times even when it attacks. However Snufflelaphagus can supress this ability and become visible to one or more people at will.

(yes I do have too much time on my hands:)!)

I had an NPC idea of a sort of crime-boss/information broker whho is the self styled "King of Garbage", lives down in the lowest levels of a complex city (would work well in either Sharn or Mega-City One, frex), and uses rats and cockroaches as spies. The I thought "The Trash Heap Knows All" and shelved the idea....

Knew? Yes, this is old news. Sometimes you really surprise me, Mr Smurf. I thought you knew all about DnD 3e....

How could one possibly miss that Otyughs speak common? *shakes head*

Nothing like having the garbage grab a rogue by the leg, stuff him into its maw. Simultaneously, the DM empties the bowl of crisps into his mouth and screams "MORE"!

You were born after 1983, weren't you? :)

(It's depressing :( A D&D player who doesn't know Fraggle Rock... what's the world coming to?)

I was born in the 60's & have played D&D since Basic and I was totally lost on the Fraggle Rock references. My muppets were Sesame Street & The Muppet Show. :D
