Our CoC campaign began last Friday!

Got to it faster than I thought, especially since Miracles isn't on tonight for some reason!

So, anyway, here's my first pass at the story hour here. I might go in and clean it up a bit later, as my first draft writing usually fairly sucks.

Got them both. Thank you!

See, everyone? I'm really not that bad. :D

Despite my reasonably high post count I've been somewhat absent from the Boards of late, so what do you mean Mark? Are you widely considered to be difficult or a problem member? In any event, enjoy the material!!

I doubt it, to be honest. I've been admirably restrained hereabouts up until recently.

One thing I've noticed about the few CoC d20 scenarios I've seen (which isn't too many): A nearly complete lack of maps. Is this the norm? I know CoC isn't normally heavy on tactical combat, but I love maps. They help me visualize the setting and better enable me to describe it to my players.

The shorter adventure scenarios are definitely light on maps, probably so they can be more easily adjusted to fit into a diverse array of campaign locales and periods (1920's vs. present day). The larger, more comprehensive scenarios like Nocturnum, Innsmouth, and Dunwich all come with a fair complement of supporting material including maps, city layouts, etc.

Hey, I just wanted to say that I am glad that it all worked out for you. Infest looked really good, and just the right length for a character creation / short scenario game.

If you are thinking of doing another I would EXTREAMLY recomend the End Of Paradise scenario that comes with the book. I have a decent player hand out at my website (www.shapermc.com) and if you are into using music I have a GREAT mp3 that I could get to you if your interested in it.

Also I am about to start another thread about how GREAT the new Arkam Unveiled book if for Keepers/GM's of the d20 format CoC. Look for it.

I'm all about another short adventure or two before delving into the campaign proper. I will check out your site this weekend, and feel free to send the mp3 whenever (my email address isn't private info). Thanks for the tip, and I promise to keep you posted!!
