Our Physical Fitness

Wound up needing some PT to strengthen the supporting hip musculature. Though in addition to that working, a bonus was that the PT exercises helped a lingering bit of left lower back injury from 2022.

Yeah the lower back is so tied up to all the hip/glute/quad muscles due to the silly pelvis getting shifted around. I believe thats the source of my back pain for the last oh...25+ years as well.

Since this is my log essentially, this is what I'm going to start up next week as I move to 4 day breaks.

4DaySchedule.JPG

Alternating between Week A and B, this should allow my legs to heal up between sessions, as the 3 day just wasnt sufficient. Shoulders/Arms, I think can work in there Wed/Tuesday, without too much issue. I'm not sure why I'm so sore today but its not the shoulder/bicep, maybe I slept wrong and tweaked the chest/shoulder joint or something, left side. Maybe I went too low on Dips yesterday, I dont know.

I'll probably have to adjust this again once my Shoulders can actually do work, they still burn out real fast so I cannot really push anything that demands extra recovery.

Run
Then I ran.
Then I run again today.
And again tomorrow.

I have to say I never thought I was capable of this much running.
Conditioning is huge for fighters! We see it in boxing and MMA too, but with the helmets and the weight of the armor it's always seemed enormously important for ACL/Buhurt. The newbies are quickly out of wind and dying - the killers/veterans keep breathing and fighting.

Absolutely and I’m woefully behind. Setting everything other than direct training aside till I can get to a better place and maintain.
