Out of body experience (Any Chandra players stay out... that means you Rassilon!)

A little background might be appropriate to begin with. I've got a game running with 3 long-term players and a new guys about to join. The existing players are high level and quite well known in several nations/kingdoms of their world (some like 'em, some want 'em dead).

In an upcoming scenario the PC will be entering a nation that would love to see them all tortured for millennia then killed. The nation has a high percentage of arcane spellcasters, and as such it's likely that illusions would not be enough to protect their identities. This will mean a body exchange in order to survive reasonably unnoticed.

Anyone got any rules or suggestions on how to put a character skills, abilities, powers, feats, etc into another body that they'd like to share with me...?

It seems a bit far-fetched to assume that some arcane caster with true seeing is watching every single person that enters/exits a kingdom. Maybe if it was a major city and they were at a state of war or have some problem with spies or seomthing, and everyone entered through a select few gates...
What keeps the party from teleporting into an empty building in the town and meandering about?

But yeah, Magic Jar sounds the way to go. Unless they're Good, then they might find the idea rather morally dubious. Also, IIRC, true seeing doesnt negate regular disguises. So get yerself a masterwork disguise kit, and have a go. Can't you "aid another" with that too, get a good bonus to the disguise check?
