Out of the 3 different magic systems, which one would you choose?

What system would you suggest?

I went with TOM as well. I know that Psionics has been retooled, and done well, but, I still don't like psi in fantasy. It's my own personal hang up, but, there you go. :) While the TrueNamers are crap, the Pact Binders work extremely well for designing entirely personal sorts of magic. Creating new vestiges can ensure that one binder will look radically different from another - something that lacks in traditional wizards where the same spells keep being reused over and over again. The shadowmage is a wonderful template for any sort of focused spellcaster - elementalist, summoner, that sort of thing.

I could easily replace core magic with TOM in a campaign. Well, maybe not easily, but, willingly. :)

Pact Magic I am in the process of changing around, tieing it in with the Infernals in the Iron Kingdoms rather than vestiges. While a character does not have to be evil become a Pact magician he will almost certainly end up being corrupted, and at the end of his days, even if he has managed to avoid corruption, the Infernals get his soul.

I'd be very interested in seeing what you've worked out when you've finished. My two complaints with Pact Magic (and the reasons I don't use it) is that I was hoping for a more "sell-your-soul" flavor, and that I couldn't use it for replicating sorcerors (who I've always felt should be the former.)

Oh, and XPH, and get rid of the sorcerors.

Oops, I misvoted. Oh well, Psionics was my second choice.

I mean to choose Magic of Incarnum--it's magical but it's different. A good compliment to the core magic system. Whereas Psionics is magical and not too different, if I had to choose a system to replace the core system, that's what it'd be.

I don't like any of them, but if I was forced to use one of those listed in the poll, it'd be Tome of Magic. And thus was my vote placed, though in truth I'd sooner choose to use none and just play d20 Modern :p

XPH is very well done, and has the added bonus of being more accessable to players as it's almost completely SRD. Some of the other supliments support it as well (Many of the Complete series have psionic classes), and the Soul Knife is a fun class that's included but not in the same breath. Also, it allows Wild Talent, which means you can build your fighter with psionic feats.

XPH.

I dig psionics. Incarnum, Binders and Shadow Magic are cool too though.

Personally I'd rather see a setting using Psionics, Incarnum, Warlocks, Binders, and Shadow Magi without the usual Core Casters. I think that'd just be spiffy. Psionics as the only source of healing would be... harsh. :D

The question wasn't asking for an alternate magic system, but a complimentary system. As in, assume you're already using the core magic system. Now, you're allowing one more system--what is it?

Tome of magic had some interesting stuff in it, but it was my least favorite of the three listed.

I really like MoI, but I had to vote XPH - I'm a psionics freak from way back in 1st ed. :) Not only is really cool - it has more support (CPs, Hyperconsscous, and Minds eye, plus the occasional psionic stuff in the other supplements).
