My last post was rather vague on her final destination but the post previous I had posted she was at S23. You actually placed her on S22. My intent was that she move back towards the group. She's currently showing on the map at S23, her previous round location.

EDIT: Somewhere around U20 but the numbers are tiny and very difficult to make out.

I've placed her at U20 and done another map update. I agree the map numbers are tiny and hard to make out. The scale this series is giving me fits. I'm not sure how you're viewing the site, but if you're using a smartphone (or a tablet?), you might could zoom in (my Samsung Galaxy allows me to zoom, my laptop does not).

Kobold Stew, need you to clarify, please, which door Solace jammed shut, and which side of the door Solace is on. I think you want the door separating the stalactite and rope bridge shut, and Solace outside the door on the bridge (so that Asha is trapped inside).

It occurred to me, though, that perhaps you meant you're locking Solace inside the stalactite with Asha. Or that Solace doesn't want an intruder to come up through the trap door (and it's the trap door she's locked)...though, that'd be tricky, given Solace's and Asha's placement.

Let me know.

I'm sorry this was unclear.

As I understood it, Solace has just opened a door and seen a more powerful enemy (Asha - a boss and potentially the toughest opponent here) who was waiting to attack. Solace is now one hit from death/unconsciousness. There were no allies inside, and she is unaware of any trap doors, and her hand is on a door that has a lock mechanism.

Her choice is to flee outright or try and hinder Asha and perhaps her giant spider from pursuing, while staying alive. The latter helps the party, the former makes things significantly worse (introducing 1-2 new opponents), right? She doesn't know about the spell.

So the goal was to close the door and potentially jam the lock if at all possible. If that's not possible, she still has 30 of movement to flee, but I thought that would be pushing things. It was more important to keep the enemies from all being able to attack in a single round. I hope that's clearer/makes some sense.

If not, she can disengage (bonus) and move and (as Yavathol suggests) fall behind Kamael. Solace was trying to keep Asha out of the fight (secondary goal), while staying alive (primary!).

What you want Solace to do is possible, thanks. I figured that's what you meant, but second-guessed myself after the fact (perhaps Solace was trying to trap Asha and herself in the room to buy the others some time).

Asha wasn't lying in wait. Solace surprised her as she was coming up from below to investigate the ruckus caused by the stampede.

Thanks--I'll move the IC along in short order.
