Got my end sorted out and have posted in the IC. Generally, the NPCs are going to hang back and let you guys do the work. My sense is they did more than I wanted them to during the escape scene. You're the stars here. If things get dire, they'll kick in and help here and there, but mostly they're just kind of dead weight (mechanically, at least). They'll be useful in other ways, just not in a fight.

(I've been thinking about the choices I've made as Solace in round 1, and I don't see alternatives for this outcome. I should have attacked S7 and not S8 (to get a free disengage), but I'd still be pinned at the supply closet door with 1 hp, and subject to two attacks. I don't think there's anything that inspiration could have be used for, except possibly an extra attempt at the attack on S8.

As you say, she's not having a good day! She'll try to make her death saves -- there's still time for her.

There's loads of time. She's got at least three rounds of death saving throws, and there's a potion of cure wounds somewhere in the party's possession, not to mention Medicine checks, and/or someone casting cure wounds on her.

I have a regrettable penchant for dropping your characters. I can't think why, 'cept that you like to have them dart out front and be daring (a maneuver I find both devil-may-care and admirable). I rarely drop a character in most of my games! And here you've had Solace go down twice, and Father Spec be slain outright as a grand finale.

I'm lucky we're friends or you might've wanted to brain me by now.

Maybe we should have given the healing potions to the NPCs, but in the current situation they would have to eat attacks of opportunity to get to Solace.

At least this means they're not getting any of the XP!

Re: Warpriest

The only mention I can find of using the ability is in post 232 of the IC thread in which Kago killed Asha. You decreed then that he didn't use the ability because she died from the blow beforehand. It is entirely possible that I used it again after and just don't recall, so I trust your ruling however it goes.

Thanks for keeping detailed notes, btw. I know we're in good hands with you. Well, most of us are. Kobold Stew is just fubar.
