Overwatch tactics in modern/futurist TTRPG

In many tactical games, either tabletop miniature combat games, turn-based computer/console games or even FPS massive multiplayer games make use of some sort of overwatch action, usually to provide cover for allies in forward position or deny free passage to enemies. In many TTRPG, "overwatch" is basically another name for a "ready" action, but ready actions are rarely worth it versus using your action on your round to take an immediate active part in the battle.

Is there a TTRPG that makes good use of overwatch, suppression/cover fire without making them niche or underpowered options? Any modern/futuristic game that include tactical element without being a full fledged tactical miniature combat game?

Wait, this isn't a thread about using my sweet Lucio tactics in D&D? Bummer.

In Coriolis, overwatch allows you to target a full quarter of your surroundings and shot at any target in that area at any point you like until your next turn comes up. You don't have to declare what you are waiting for and even can decide to take your shot after the GM declared the action of an NPC.
If you are in a medium to long range firefight, odds are good that you have all enemies in your attack area.

With the way firefights work in the game, everyone really wants to have cover, and it can make sense to pop out, take a quick shot with an accuracy penalty, and go back into full cover again. In that situation, you really need overwatch to hit anything at all.
