Ownership of the print top 20?

Just announce that you've written for Mongooser but had nothing to do with the production of the book nor do you work for Mongoiose except in the freelance way. I've always felt that reviews by writers was a good thing as long as they tell everyone they are a writer. Monte Cook does a few reviews on his site and its not like people don't have problems with that.

I'm very surprised to see so many people here have picked up "World of Whitethorn 1B: The Village of Oester". :)

Thank you, Cthulhu's Librarian, Phineas Crow, DaveMage, Buttercup, Krieg, and others!

As far as writing reviews, I'm not sure what the proper protocol is now that I have a book published. I was going to write a review of Mongoose's Quintessential Kobold before my book was published, but now I think it would be inappropriate (not that the review was negative - quite the contrary, which is why I think it would look weird).

Well, I've got about 30 books under my belt, and I personally wouldn't feel bad writing a review of another product.

As to my own work, I won't review it, but I wouldn't be adverse to writing a look back/retrospective of the work - discussing my intentions at the start, how satisfied I am with the completed work, and how my expectations clashed and meshed with those of the company and the customers. I think that can be valuable, really, both to you and to potential customers.

I've not seen a lot of the other stuff on sale, and I tend not to buy books that add more complexity to the game.

No. Thank You!...for producing an excellent product. :)

FWIW I picked it up specifically because of the universally outstanding reviews.
Without those reviews it is very likely it would never have come to my attention.

You're certainly welcome! I'm glad you've enjoyed the book. I expect to release the next in the series, "World of Whitethorn 1C: The City of Calas" sometime in 2005. It will be a big book with about 200 shops and other locations in full detail.

Well, I'm sorry to say the reviews have not been universally outstanding, as Psion can certainly attest to, but they've been almost without exception so (only two mediocre ratings that I've seen).

Gasp! You mean we're getting out of the village? Away from the hammlet? Gome from the Throp?

Thank you god!

Yeah, Joe, I know you've been waiting for that big city book and it's coming. The most complete city book ever. It might even have to come out in... wait for this... HARDCOVER! I know I've objected to unnecessary hardcover books, but it just might turn out that big. Anyhow, people like hardcovers.

Quoting the 'evil' Cartman. "I love you guys."
