Oye! All this content is getting merged in to General Discussion

We decided we wanted to combine all these games into General Discussion. Later in the week, I'll merge everything in this forum into General.

Any objections or comments we should consider first?

I actually think it's a good idea. This forum hasn't been getting a great deal of traffic, and it'll make me more likely to start checking out the General forum more often.

I actually prefer having a "safe space" for the Other Games, as the General Discussion forum is actually like "D&D and a bit more". Even general topics have a strong D&D bias.

Sorry, guys. It's really isolated and half the normal traffic already occurs in General anyways. I'd love to get more discussion of other games up there.

LOL then why ask?

Anyway I agree, I run a general RSS feed so be good for me.

This is true. Even the plots and places has a strong 4th edition D&D bias, and the Legacy D&D section has a tremendous 3e bias. I always liked this section, so as to be able to keep tabs on the other wierd and wonderful games in the world even if I didn't post much. I guess that's what's getting it killed.

That being said, I don't feel that it's a bad thing to have a lot of subdivisions as a general rule. It's certainly better than having too few, and there being a terrible amount of noise, where people playing the Windlord RPG and T.O.X.I.C.W.A.S.T.E. The RPG have to try and make more noise than the 4th edition fans, who make up the majority of the forum and make most of the posts. The threads about the cool little independant games get lost amongst the crowd, so to speak.

But that's just my 2 cents. :)

Now, some time in the past, other games were in General. But there was "d20" section, is that right? Now D20 modern, SW are both out of print.

I also wonder about the D&D legacy forum. A lot of pre 2000 D&D is discussed in general as well. Maybe just make D&D legacy the 3E forum (and merge with pathfinder...)
