P1: King of the Trollhaunt Warrens Spoilers

I'm more excited by story than by mechanics, so a monster that properly evokes the legends and myth of the monster is much more exciting to me than a bucket o' stats. The Will O' Wisp hasn't done that very well, historically, and it's exciting to see it get its just deserts. It works better than, say, something like the Succubus, whose charm only lasts a few moments, and better than something like the Abyssal Ghoul, which seems to lack a justification to exist.

They're from the Minis HB. A quick google will get you an old excerpt with the stats. Basic gibbering abomination.

From the 3.5 Miniatures Handbook Art Gallery.

There were many weird, frankly tractionless monsters in that book. OTOH, it also had Kruthiks, which are quickly becoming one of my favorite monsters! (Though I admit, for the longest time, I confused Kruthiks with those hive-dwelling monsters from the Book of Vile Darkness, whose name escapes me now.)

OOO, that will be perfect for my Spirit-based campaign.

Ari, with your APG how likely is it for it to show up in hobby stores? Or more specifically ones in Toronto, Ontario (to be even more specific the Silver Snail (fairly well known here in Ontario)). I don't have a credit card to order online, so buying from book stores is my only means.

Well, I know Expeditious Retreat sells primarily through the hobby chains, so it'll be showing up in gaming stores. But I don't know the likelihood of it showing up in a specific store.

You could probably ask the store to special order it, if they don't get it by default.

Thanks for quick reply

If it is going to show up in any store in Toronto it be that one. Basically it is a two-story building devoted to geekdom, on one of the most well known streets in Toronto (Queen St. West) and is the one that basically it always showcased on Space (Canadian version of the Sci-Fi Channel) when they do segments on comics, rpgs, etc.

If anyone on here goes to Toronto it is definitely something you would enjoy.

I shall have to see if they will order it, I know they do order (getting the new Cthulhutech books through them).
