Deborah Lang, head Librarian at Duke University, sent out the e-mail to a small number of faculty and students who she thought might be interested in the curiosity that lay open before her on the desk. Still Signs of Life, by Edward R. Joplin had been anonymously donated to the library, and she had never, in all her year, seen anything quite like it. Naturally curious, the chosen few made their way to the Librarian’s office suite to see the thing with their own eyes.“Once experienced or forced to endure certain knowledge, one can see the world through different eyes; as if there is stripped away this blanket of an ignorant and conditioning society. But, as a concept, no matter how appalling it may seem, this ignorance is our ‘magical shield’ against some of the things that are out there. Do you ever ask yourselves ‘why do these things keep happening to me?’ I put it to you, that it is your deeper understanding of this world’s peril—the horrors beyond the eye—and you bring these things upon yourselves.”
Creepy stuff, huh? And this is supposed to be a book on art. If you get time, stop by the library and check it out. I will be here most of the day.

Painted into a Corner is a Call of Cthulhu d20 adventure. It will be a relatively short, one-shot adventure played by post at ExceptionalGamers.net. I will be running more extensive Cthulhu-styled games in the near future, so if you like what you see, stick around!
If you are interested in playing, read the Game Rules and Expectations thread. It contains all the rules for applications, character creation, etc.
If you have questions, U2U me or post them in the OOC thread.
Cheers and happy gaming!
