A theme, not THE theme. Not everyone in a pseudo-China setting is a two-weapon specialist.

You're right, and mainly because I never stated that.

I was just aiming at the fact that I want to make use of both samurai and that was the only reasonable way of doing it without clashing things. Shou just do things different from Wa&Kozakura, which is understandable enough to warrant CW Samurai an inclusion in Shou.

Personally, I'd use OA Samurai. Just change the weapon of choice toward a Chinese/Shou flavor.

As you have agreed with me, it is flexible that one can choose to be a weapon specialist or other types of weapon fighting specialist. Just take out a pen and cross off the names of the clans.

Of course, by doing so, and also removing anything specific to Rokugan, I have a $35 OA book that have $30 worth of useful material. Go figure.

More like $15 worth, most of that book was Rokugan-specific. I had to convert what was easily converted from that book ot Kara-Tur.
