Pathfinder 1E Paizo no longer publishing Dungeon and Dragon

Yeah but now who in their right minds wants people to READ their stuff on computer rather than in print?

True. Wonder if contributors will still get a copy of the issue their submission appeared in for free (even if as a .pdf)?

Who knows? This whole thing reeks of "Clear Pepsi" And "New Coke." thinking.

To James Jacob,

Will Pathfinder feature d20 Modern or (modern-genre OGL) material?

Sorry, Ranger, I thought your question earlier was a joke. :-( I'm terrible like that.

Pathfinder will not feature d20 Modern content.

Back on topic, is Paizo going to be continuing any kind of submission-based publishing through Pathfinder or GameMastery? It would be a shame to lose that sort of option for people who want to get into design.

We absolutely will. Stay tuned for more news on this front.

Yeah, online journalism, what a joke.

People write because they love the game. That will never stop, whether in print or online.

This move by WotC makes me so very angry! It makes me think that there is nothing they won't cannibalize or destroy of they think there might be a buck in it.

It also makes me sad to think that one of the last major sources for Greyhawk Material won't have access to the IP anymore.

/Shakes fist at WotC!

As a long time reader of Dragon, it hurts to know my favorite magazine is coming to an end. But, I'm willing to give what follows a chance before I make my decision. I've bumped my subscriptions over to Pathfinder, and I'll take a look at what WotC puts online. I hope I'm not disapointed.

Also, I'm glad none of the editorial staff will be unemployed because of this. I've enjoyed what you guys have put out in the last few years, and I'm glad you get to keep doing quality work.
