Paladin Scrolls of Lesser Restoration

If a Paladin were to create a scroll of lesser restoration at the minimum possible caster level, would that be caster level 2?

If so, I believe he would create it with a base cost of 1/3rd the normal price, 50 gp, and a cost to create of 25 gp and 2 xp. Is that correct?

If he went to sell it, would he get 1/2 of the normal price (150/2=75 gp) and make a profit, or would market price mysteriously adjust itself so he only got 25 gp?

Is there any reason why an Artificer couldn't scribe the paladin version of the spell for the reduced price?

Yes, paladins can create lesser restoration scrolls at bargain basement prices. It's unlikely to affect the market price, because spellcasting paladins are fairly rare to begin with.

However, if you throw artificers into the picture, and cities where magic items are produced in quantities, it makes more sense to hire paladins to provide the casting requirement. I think I might be inclined to rule that the selling price is based on the paladin version in places where there is an established group of paladins who are willing to sell to the public.

Ordinarily, I think the paladin would make a nice profit, with the understanding there is a limited market for such things.

So an Artificer, who can emmulate any casters spell list, can create the scroll for the listed bagain price, just like the Paladin? I'm pretty sure this is right, but I don't want to pull a fast one on my DM(s) so I want to be sure.

Absolutely. That also means that they can scribe a (Pal1) scroll of Lesser Restoration at level 1. :)

In general though, there probably aren't enough Artificers (or Paladins with Scribe Scroll) to impact the general market value; virtually all the scrolls of Lesser Restoration a party comes across will have been scribed by a Cleric. (especially given that scrolls scribed by an artificer can't be used by anyone else [except by using Use Magic Device] as an Artificers scrolls are neither Arcane nor Divine).
