If I encountered a complete stranger who was wounded and read as evil, as a paladin I would probably not hesitate to heal him as an act of mercy.
It's the "ally" thing that bothers me here... Of course, all of this is irrelevant to the original question....

My paladin has been known to give his companions the ol' Detect Evil on occasion. Usually right after they've suggested something immoral. It helps keep them in line.Hypersmurf said:And, indeed, some allies might find it offensive
