MELBOURNE, FL - Paradigm Concepts’ sales of its Arcanis: the World of Shattered Empires campaign line surpassed any previous Origins consumer show. Attendance for Living Arcanis events enjoyed all-time highs at Origins, held June 30, 2005 – July 3, 2005.
The company sold through the 200 advance copies of its latest release: “Legacy of Damnation”, the must-have guide to playing a demon-blooded character in Arcanis: the World of Shattered Empires. The advance copies were provided specifically for the show. Several other Paradigm Concepts titles, such as “Codex Arcanis”, “The Player’s Guide to Arcanis”, and “Ssethregore: In the Coils of the Serpent Empire” also sold large numbers.
The Living Arcanis battle interactive “For the Glory of the Empire” drew 211 players and volunteer judges and raised nearly $1800 in charity for Homes for our Troops. The Living Arcanis live action roleplaying interactive “The Wedding” drew 192 participants. According to the Origins program and online event registration, “For the Glory of the Empire” was the largest RPG event at the show and “The Wedding” was second-largest, making Living Arcanis events the most popular RPG events at Origins for three years running. Sean Patrick Fannon, Origins Events Coordinator and author of the “Fantasy Roleplaying Gamer’s Bible” had this to say:
"The ‘Arcanis Effect’ is beyond anything I've seen in my professional career. We could double the seats and they would still fill up, and there would still be fans wanting to play. Paradigm Concepts has created a roleplaying game phenomenon, and I am proud - very proud - that Origins is their convention home"
