Paralyzed: Not the regular way...

It occured to me today that rather than setting a crawl/drag speed, you could simply say the movement is the functional equivelent of climbing along a hortizontal rather than vertical surface. The lack of leg help and lack of gravity could even out, and DC set based on how much stuff there is to grab and drag yourself by. This could work for a very short term paralyzation with no time to learn compensation. It would also allow some use of his stat and skill investments, and make movement a chalange rather than flat penalty.

I think this is an excellent idea. It may also be helpful to imply that this is an effect in your tone so the player knows to roll his saves, or you could roll it yourself and make him succeed just in time to join the smackdown.
