Looks interesting. I like the concept. I might look at it.

Looking at your faq I was wondering if you cynical style, which I found quite enjoyable, might scare off some customers.

Well, the setting is traditional fantasy and that might make people assume that it automatically falls into the "boring" category. So I needed a way to convey that

1) The players have more ownershp of the setting than they do in other worlds
2) The skills, feats, PrCs, and other "crunchy" material is designed to slide people into roelplay who might normally just be there to roll dice and kill monsters

The FAQ is sort of in-your-face, but I need people to read the whole thing and they aren't going to do that if its dry. Plus the map. The map is frickn' gorgeous.

If the book's writing style is the same as the FAQ's, I'm sold!

I'll tell you up front. No. We wussed out early on. The book was reading like a comedy book or a bad episode of Xena.

However, you will be gratified to know that Parent's Basement Games firmly believes that you can win at D&D and there are feats you can be eligible for only if you suceed at certain in-game tasks. There's also three adventures in there, two of which are all about the killin' and the thrid is pure roleplay/political intrigue that takes place at a joust. Given that your players once expressed interest in a courtly ball kind of adventure (leaving you wondering where to put the pit traps and demi-liches) you might find it interesting.

Some of the ranger and druid spells would fit into your take on Britiania as well.

Besides, mang, it's like $12. That's what? A bushel of eucalyptus leaves or whatever it is you blokes use for currency down there? It's practically free!

What's the ETA on the print version?

Three weeks so maybe the second week of March.

Which will be more-or-less the time Crothian said his review could be out. Although neither he nor I can offer exact dates, if you're worried about taking a chance on a first time publisher you should wait for his review and make up your mind then. Or find out where it's being printed and hijack the truck. Either way.

I just bought this and have to say that I like the general lack of art (makes printing easier and reduces distractions).

I will get back to you on how much I enjoy the content.

Ku was working for the US Geological Survey and had about four months to master their software. He didn't want to experiment with the real USGS files so, guess what, he decided to map my world. Or at least a chunk of it. Ku has very developed ideas about game worlds that encompas entire planets. He preferred to do a solid map of one small (1000+ miles) area. That map now graces our website and takes up 6MB.
The map looks pretty realistic! Nice work :)!

A clairification:

We boo-booed in our section 15. Future releases will have the following paragraph removed:
Materials offered Murchads Legacy derived
completely from the d20 System Reference
Document are deemed Open Game Content in
accordance with this license. Character names (other
than those owned byWizards of the Coast), histories,
location names, artwork, works of fiction, logos
(including the stylized representation of Murchads
Legacy) and the identifying name "Murchads
Legacy" are "Product Identity" and may not be
reproduced without the written consent of the
copyright holder

I'm trying to think of something really professional to say other than "our bad". But nothing is springing to mind.
