Indeed, the Wand of Frost was instrumental. However, it only has 5 charges, and we expended four. So, it's not going to be much use in the future. We will discuss XP awards, though.
Yes, that's why I would probably halve the XP. Having a powerful but limited item is not a bad thing, though. My 5th level necromancer got his hands on a staff of fire with 9 charges. I have used four so far, but I think my DM has lowered the XP for at least one encounter where I blasted about 15 or 20 bugbears in a tight locale with a fireball. I got three trolls in today's game.

BTW, do you guys enjoy my narratives? Or is it just a waste of space?
I enjoy them. Keep them coming. Or start a story hour.

You used effective tacticts to mow down stupid enemies, which is great. On the other hand, you probably wouldn't have survived without the wand. I question whether even Orcs would be that stupid, as well, but hey, why not?

Given your parties makeup, I'd say a well played Rogue or two would eat you alive. Not to mention the consequences of a trap filled dungeon. I for one look forward to seeing more of these threads, they're quite entertaining.

Hi, I too like your narrative!
But I've got a question, too. Did Melian use a scroll of improved invisibility? If not, he should have become visible by using the wand of frost.

He used another scroll of invisibility, I forgot to mention.

Our DM has agreed that we go "by the book" on scroll creation (1 per day max), so we won't have that many in the future.
