Erik,

Thank you. I am glad that finally you guys are producing an a reference source that I can utilize. I loved reading Dragon and Dungeon but like many DMs, found it difficult to use in game without it becoming quite cumbersome. I am looking forward to the new electronic product. I hope you'll be on hand at gencon to sign my last copies of dragon and dungeon.

Iron Dungeonmaster Dreads himself!

Erik,

The above is posted by our two year in a row victor of Iron Dungeonmaster. He's got mad DM skillz. Just spreading the word!

Dreads, I think you will freaking love Pathfinder. From what I have seen/worked on for it so far. It'll definately be right up your alley my man. And a free PDF of it with every issue...so awesome.

Can wait for Iron Dungeonmaster! Good Luck Dreads!

DROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL! The cover art for issue 2 you have posted on the blog is the most evocative piece of fantasy art I've seen in a long while. Instantly makes me want to get my game on. Fantastic stuff!
I like that cover piece, too. Very cool. I'm hoping Pathfinder (and Paizo products, in general) takes some steps towards its own artisitic identity, separate from WotC. Less dungeonpunk, and more classic D&D/swords-n-sorcery adventure!

Adventure paths are all well and good, but where will I go for my monthly third-party crunch? I need a Dragon replacement more than a Dungeon replacement.

QFT!
I've already snagged it for my desktop wallpaper. AWESOME stuff!
Hey, and I got a guy sitting in front of a campfire! Yay? :(

I look forward to it with interest Erik.

My only worry is that the Pathfinder subscription model may be a lot less stable than the Dungeon subscription model. I can see a lot of people getting 6 issues of Pathfinder and then dropping the subscription for 6 months, either because the next AP doesn't interest them, or because they can only get through 1 AP a year.

What are your thoughts on this Erik?

The other question I have is now where will we go for short, quirky, independent lower-level adventures that Dungeon used to provide every month? I know that Paizo is going to be putting out 32-page adventures on a monthy basis with their Game Mastery line but I'm not sure if they will fill the same niche.

I doubt if I will switch my Subscription to Pathfinder, its an AP, I don't do AP's. I do use them in pieces and parts. Plus it is too expensive, even as a subscription with $4.00 shipping per issue. So I'll just see it at my LGS. If I like it my LGS will benefit. IF not, hopefully someone else will buy it.

I will support the Dungeon MAstery Adventure line in June. Make that a subscription product too, and as long as the shipping isn't equally too high, I'll subscribe to that.

If not I'll just have to promise to buy what I like when I can.
