Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder Advantage

Well, I just did the maths on this, specifically as it relates to Pathfinder Chronicles. Looking at the listed products between now and August, it averages out to just over £11.00 a month (shipping not included.) Given that I've stopped buying WotC stuff entirely, I figure that is a reasonable amount (and, more importantly, She Who Must Be Obeyed agreed :D). So I just signed up to Pathfinder Chronicles thanks to the Pathfinder Advantage discount. Looking forward to receiving the first goodies. Nice one, Paizo. Top of the tree :).

Heh, and I cancelled my Pathfinder subscription when RotRL finished. The last 3 modules of the series sucked and I really had no desire to see another 6 adventure path modules stack up on my coffee table. Oh well.

I actually liked all the adventures except the "Against the Giants" tribute. Just didn't grab me.

I did reluctantly cancel my subscription, as I plan on moving to 4e and money's a touch tight right now. Rise of the Runelords might convert well, but I'm not willing to invest in another path or two in the meantime.

I think the quote you're refering to is in this thread

Relavent info here:

Funny, because we've got James Jacobs saying the exact opposite Here

Of course, since they knew A YEAR in advance that they were losing the license, would it really have been too much to ask that they have the web enhancements ready beforehand?

Meh, I see all the complaining about how WOTC treats its customers, but, I spent 5 years as an overseas subscriber, and got screwed on the last three enhancements.

I know it's bad form to say anything bad about Paizo, what with their martyr status and all, but, gimme a break. If you say you are going to do something, do it. If you can't do it, don't bury it in a bloody thread, actually post an announcement so people will know. And, don't have other people on your staff saying the exact opposite.

I mean, posting in the Off Topic thread isn't exactly getting the word out is it?

How is James saying "There's a chance" 10 days before Lisa says they can no longer do it the exact opposite?

What James says here, however, indicates that he thinks it may still be possible. Maybe James wasn't aware yet...

As to why they haven't made a big announcement reagarding this, I cannot say... maybe they've got alot on their minds lately (like 4E and whatnot).

Well, we got one person saying, "Absolutely not, cannot happen" and another saying that "Yes, there's a chance it will happen", sorry, you're right. That's not exactly opposite. It's certainly contradictory though. (happy?)

Then again, I'm not really buying it at all. Come on, you're going to tell me that if Lisa Stevens picked up the phone and called someone at WOTC and said, "Hey, you mind if we post up those last three web enhancements" WOTC would say no? I don't buy it at all. Sounds like someone's trying to do a bit of blamestorming for failing to live up to a promise.

Anyone other Pathfinder subscribers planning on subscribing to another product line with the 15% discount?
Not quite, but I was planning on picking up a bunch of miscellaneous Paizo products, like Classic Monsters Revisited and the campaign setting Gazetteer. This announcement makes March a bit less painful for me.

Demiurge out.

Just thought I'd pipe in here about those last few Dungeon web enhancements. The problem at the start, alas, was that we ran into a bottleneck. The web enhancements were ready for layout, and we've managed to squeeze in a lot of them here and there, but the switch from doing 2 magazines to a full line of RPG adventures and supplements ended up being a lot more work than we'd anticipated. When it comes down to the simple fact that our art directors have enough time to produce for-sale products and free web enhancements for material that has reverted to the license holder... it's unfortunately a no-brainer choice. The web enhancements get put aside.

And unfortunately, it does seem to be too late to finish them off. I'll keep asking around here at Paizo if we can get those last three supplements up and online, but it's certainly looking grim. Which is pretty depressing, truth be told.

One other note: We do watch the threads and reader responses; if an adventure doesn't work for you or it sucks, I only ask that you tell my why it sucks. Reader feedback's one of the best ways to make a product better, after all! :)
