I also felt the Masterful Dodge was a bit awkward - that's why I'm using it as a simple +1 enhancement to the bonus of the dodge feat. The dodge feat just gives you a +1 dodge bonus to AC, so with this someone with the dodge feat would have a +2 (or +3 with Greater Masterful Dodge).
Someone with two-weapon defence and masterful dodges could rack up a nice AC even without armour potentially.
