Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder conversion for ZEITGEIST

I'm Jeff Quick. I was an RPG designer and editor at Wizards of the Coast around the release of 3rd ed, and kept my hand in the business even after leaving it full time.

I have several design credits on Pathfinder products, including the Golarion Campaign Setting, Guide to the River Kingdoms, and Guide to Elves. I run a regular Pathfinder game of my own, and am familiar with playing, running, and writing for 4th ed.

I've been an RPG freelancer for several years. Here's a partial bibliography at Pen & Paper.net.

I also PMed you a couple of days ago. I'd love to find out more about the project.

I haven't published anything myself, but I have converted 3 of Paizo's Pathfinder AP's over to 4e (Kingmaker, Council of Thieves, and Curse of the Crimson Throne) & 1 of their 3.5e ones (Savage Tide) so have some experience with the mechanics to convert between the two editions and am definitely interested.

I echo Wicht's comments about deadlines, etc.

Russ and I are still working out the details of how much work this would entail and so what would be a fair pay rate.

For the first product we'd like a conversion done by mid-April. If necessary, we might push that back to mid-May, and just release the PF version after the 4e version.

I'm leaning toward one person right now, but if that falls through, I'll contact a few other interested folks probably by Tuesday.

One more question RW, what is the expected release schedule going forward (presuming you (and Morrus) want to release PF conversions for the whole AP)? I know Paizo does 1/month, but not sure if EN Publishing is planning the same release schedule?

Right now we're being conservative and figuring one adventure every 3 months. We might be able to go faster if more people buy in, because the budget for the campaign comes primarily from community supporter accounts' monthly subscriptions.

I'm not able to do this, but....

There was an awesome dude who (supposedly, reportedly) pathfinderized Nick Logue's Razor Coast Adventure. He might have the ability to do this. I don't know. But if you were to contact Lou Agresta, he could probably tell you a bit more, including the person's name. (I'd check but Nick's site has been dead since March first).

Also, I know that Open Design has done some serious conversions (at least two). You may want to talk to Wolfgang Baur to ask him for the names of people he trusts.

I'd like to see this happen, and I hope you find someone suitable.
