Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder - Does raising your con add HP to previous levels? Hit points questions.

Skill synergy is a 3rd ed thing, it dind't carry over to pathfinder.

I'm glad it didn't, too much book keeping for too little gain.

Depends on what you mean by "little gain". Face men could get a substantial boost to diplomacy with savvy expenditures in other skills.

I thought it was a cool idea. But I have no qualms with the simplification of not including it in PF.

Agreed. It seems to make sense that those with a broad set of complimentary skills should perform better than someone with a single skill silo. It did add an extra level of complexity on top of an already reasonable complex system, however.

thotd

I think the perception that extra INT doesn't retroactively give you skill points is tied to Headbands of INT. For headbands of Int, the extra Int given by the item is directly tied to a knowledge skill. You would still get the standard amount of skill points/level, and the headband would give you an extra one but only for the knowledge skill associated with it.

All Con gains are retroactive.

Look at spells that give a temporary CON boost. Con goes up, Hit Points go up.

Spells and toxins that drain CON drain Hit Points the same way. As your CON bonus goes down, so do your Hit Points, and they come back when your CON comes back.

Seems pretty straight forward.
