Today is the first day of the PAX East convention. Attendees will be playing in public playtests of D&D Next (D&D 5th Edition) this evening at 7pm, and tomorrow (Saturday) at 1.30pm is a Q&A with D&D senior manager Mike Mearls.

Kevin Kulp ("Piratecat" here on EN World) posted a photo of the lines this morning.

And WotC posted a picture of what is - I think - part of the D&D booth

Glad to see that they didn't go with the interlocking Adventure Game style tiles for Dungeon Command. Now they'll be compatible with the rest of my Dungeon Tiles collection.

Also worth noting that Wizards is launching their Underdark line of products at PAX, including a new web site portal with all of their products, events, and other cool stuff. This includes a neat YouTube video, new vinyl Gale Force 9 maps and even 3-D terrain. Some may not know that the upcoming map pack is Drow/Underdark themed and there will be a tile set as well.

One cool bit of news out of PAX is that the Dungeon Command set includes very nice repaints. CombatAdvantage (a really cool guy worth following) has some great pictures of these.
