[PbP] EoM game: the graduates of Bluetower Academy

OOC: Sorry I havn't been posting, but my 1-year-old son has been having a terrible time with the stomach flu this weekend. I'll post action results when I get a little more time. Again, sorry.

No problem, Merak - your son is definitely more important than the game. Take your time, and tell him to get well :)

OOC: Ok, I'm back. Ack! Where were we? Let's see...
Initiatives:
Elwent: 24
Inkar: 18
Enemies: 12
Amisel: 11
Kera: 4

Round 3!

Elwent: Your best guess about the creatures is that they are associated with Earth, since that seems to be what they're made of. You back off 30' and drop Evoke: Area: Lightning, catching the two exhausted elementals in the radius. They roll saving throws (14 & 15) against DC 13. The damage is 18, halved to 9.

Inkar: You attack #5 with your GreatAxe (16+9 = AC25), hitting for 9 points of damage (rolled a 3). Judging by the damage you caused, you estimate that another couple hits will probably bring it down.

Enemies:
Elemental #1 (exhausted): Not knowing any better, shambles 10' closer to Elwent.
Elemental #2 (exhausted): Not knowing any better, shambles 10' closer to Elwent.
Elemental #3: Attacks Kera again, hitting AC 25 for 9 points of damage.
Elemental #4: Attacks Amisel again, missing (AC 19).
Elemental #5: Attacks Inkar again, missing (AC 16).

Amisel: You cast Invisibility on Kera, causing her to vanish from sight.

Kera: You move to arrange yourself properly relative to your targets and cast Evoke: Area: Fire 3. You manage to do the fan shape and get #3 and #4 in the damage area. (saves: 8, 14). The elementals take 31 hp of damage each. Both of them collapse in a smouldering pile of sand and stone, lifeless.

Inkar continues his attack on #5. If possible, he'll try to move so he can make a cleave attack to hit multiple elementals.

Amisel will continue to attack with his sword (needing to conserve his spell points). He will move toward the one attacking Kera and attack it, fighting defensively.

"Kera, you okay? I will occupy these creatures so that you may complete your task," Amisel states.

"Perhaps this calls for something stronger..." Elwent will keep the distance steady (10' move) and, seeing as these might be Earth creatures, evoke a blast of Air to rip them apart.

Evoke Area Air 3 :
- 24 damage (5d6+5), reflex 14 for 1/2
- 20' sphere (he wants to catch 1 & 2, plus any of the others if he can do it without risk to the other PCs)
- cost 5 MP; 13/23 remaining

OOC, ok I'm updating Kera's action last round to have her fire off her assault spell instead. One moment. Then I will do the results for Round 4.

Please note that Kera's attack spell killed elementals #3 and #4.

ROUND 4!

Elwent: 24
Inkar: 18
Enemies: 12
Amisel: 11
Kera: 4

Elwent: You bring forth a tremendous explosion of Air, catching #1 and #2 in the deadly sphere. (saves: 10, 11). The violent gusts tear away the material of their bodies, destroying them and scattering their remains.

Inkar: Elementals are being destroyed all around you, but your intended target remains animate. You attack with a mighty slice, (16 + 9 = hit AC25), leaving a deep gash (7 + 4 = 11hp damage).

Elemental: Seeing Inkar before it, the thing aims a mighty fists, but misses when Inkar dodges.

Amisel: You move over to attack #5, fighting defensively, (17 + 6 - 4 = hit AC19), and hitting it for 10 points of damage, killing it.

The remaining elemental crumbles to the ground from around Amisel's blade. There is no sign of the goblin "king."
