PbP Games and Spell-Checkers

iespell!

A site I stumbled upon a while ago, but never had a chance to try out was this....

http://www.iespell.com/

It's a browser plugin for IE that auto-checks spelling in any text boxes you fill in on a web form. I have not tried it, but have had people recommend it to me before.

Hmmm. Was he a native English speaker? I have nothing but respect for people who post here in their non-native tongues. Heck, you aren't going to see me posting on Psionicist's boards in Swedish. :D

I agree, though, that in a PbP game clarity of communication is important and adds to the enjoyment of the game.

Piratecat, das ist aber toll. Jetzt kann ich sagen, dass du mich respektierst!!! Was für ein Traumtag!!! Ich denke, ich muss auf ENWorld mehr auf deutch schreiben!

;)

P.S. I totally agree, many non-native English speakers post or take part in PBP games and it can happen that spelling errors pop up.

P.P.S. Aeolius, it doesn't happen to be an aquatic campaign does it?

My campaign is set beneath the surface of the sea.

As for what the prospective player was searching for, I cannot say. I did however assume, for the sake of argument, that the player posted their inquiry while being less than attentive to spelling, as I am wont to do after wither a cold pale ale or three or a long day at work. Therefore, as the responding posts were grammatically clear, I can assume the preliminary post was a fluke.

I don't suppose there are still any slots free? If so I might send a request if the weekly post requirements aren't too hectic.

Otherwise since I have noticed you are well into Aquatic adventuring, maybe we could start a thread to discuss underwater campaigns and your experiences. I would be interested in learning some of your experiences and what you find to be the best resources as in my Campaign here in Germany, they are going through the U series (With the final battle vs the Sahuagin) and also have a ship I was considering continuing for a bit in the undersea realms.

Oh, and keep your eyes on Kamikaze Midget's Diety a Week thread... in addition to his gods (of which no small number are undersea related) I will be adding some of the Prestige classes he initially brainstormed. I have finished the Sharkmaster, and the Dolphin Paladin should be close behind. You may or may not find them useful for undersea stuff. :D

So, what is the proper protocol, for hijacking one's own thread? ;)

I do happen to be recruiting, at this time. Okay, okay... I run a PbP set underwater; I am ALWAYS recruiting! ;) Feel free to click on the link in my signature, below, for more information.

As far as aquatic supplements are concerned, you might keep an eye out for "The Deep", a d20 undersea supplement from Mystic Eye Games due out in October.
