OOC: I like the way you are moving it along.

When walking behind Lord Swifthammer Jonas will Detect Evil and see if anything in the area emminates

After Lord Swifthammer's question Jonas looks at the group, his look seems to ask if it is alright that he speak for the group. The next time he is alone with the group he explains that he typically likes to get information more than giving it. This is why he redirects conversations in situations unknown to him (i.e. the dream).

"We have only recently met Donvena through Mutual Acquaintances in the temple. Those in the temple have actually asked us to find Donvena and give her aide. The amount of aide was not disclosed, just that she might need help. As such we are very grateful for your invitation to accompany you to the mines on such short notice. Hopefully we can have this resolved in short order.

Did Donvena mention anything to you this morning when you saw her?"

Through the course of polite conversation (I don't want to interogate the Lord of the Redoubt who has been so cordial) Jonas will diplomatically try to have a few questions answered leaving lots of opportunity for others to add, specifically Dorn due to his knowledge of Dwarves:

How old is Donvena now?
Who is the Cleric with her? (Do i get the sense this person is trusted by the lord?)
Does Lord S mention what is being mined?
Have their been any problems in the mine?
How did someone get injured there?

Again diplomatically, Jonas will try to spur some ugency for their departure to the mines as he is concerned for Donvena's safety.

When alone with the group or to each person individually he will offer the following course of action. " I think that we should find Donvena and if there is no obvious course of action to find the rainbow hughed person or object I think we should make sure that she is safe...what happens here happens in Reality...We must keep her safe here as well."

OOC: Dipomacy +13 if needed

Dorn orders a round of ales for the whole group, and a plate of sausages that dwarves in Silverymoon favor, hoping that preference holds true in Donvena's dream. Not knowing how much of the dream to treat as real is getting on Dorn's nerves.

Dorn greets Captain Bal politely, but doesn't answer Lord Swifthammer's question about Donvena. It's best not to BS a dwarf about his daughter, and Dorn's not much of a bluffer. Hopefully the smooth tongued will get us thru this.

OOC: There's a dangerous part?!?! :D

Lord Swifthammer will nod, appearing satisfied by Jonas's answer. "Yes, Donvena did mention the temples she justed visited with her mother on a recent trip. But she seemed quite happy to me. I've learned to trust in Moradin and the other good gods though! Which temple sent you here?"

During the course of the conversation you'll learn Donvena is about 15 (young for a dwarf). The High Cleric Fali with her is in fact her mother and Lord Swifthammer's wife. The mine produces iron ores and there is a hint of something more valuable (maybe mithral or adamantine!). There have been few problems in the mines with minor monsters and the injury was likely caused by a work related accident not an attack.

Lord Swiftahmmer will nod to Nazgrel, "Nobanion is known to my wife and I. I welcome your company."

He'll also commend Dorn on his order saying" A fine chief we have here." When the sausages arrive Dorn will find they taste quite real and are of excellent quality.

Also, the Detect Evil will reveal no evil presence in the immediate area.

OOC: Of course there's a dangerous part! You really think the first dream-binding creature is going to be a spider for you to step on? :D

Ichtor lets his comrades do most of the talking. He looks at the sausage and says, "You wouldn't have anything more bloody would you? For my pet here," he says.

"And what kind of 'minor monsters' do you speak of?"

I wonder if her clan is dead in 'reality', thinks Ichtor, or do they survive only in this dream. And what is the point of sustenance in a dream? He cuts a sausage delicately before putting in his mouth.

Lord Swifthammer will look at Ichtor, " I guess you could get some chops done up rare. As for the monsters you find the usual underground fair, bats, darkmantles, gricks, nothing a stout dwarf with an axe can't handle!

"Nothing for a stout dwarf to fear, eh? Good thing stout dwarves will lead us!" says Dorn with a nod towards the Captain. Dorn goes on to make small talk about subtle yet significant points of Captain Bal's armor. Nothing like talking metal to get dwarves comfortable.

Dorn eats his sausages without looking at them: you don't want to know what goes into sausage anyway, and in someone's nightmare...

"A Moonmistress of Selune, friend of Moradin is the one who asked. I must say, I am honored to travel to see the mines."

After food, Jonas is quick to retrieve Silver Lance and be off to the mines.

I don't think the mines would be tall enough for someone to go in mounted. You might have to leave the horse behind. Don't worry though not every dream will be in such cramped conditions.
