wandering anyone here has used the lastest version of Pc gen, to create starwars characters?, if so after i load the files, and go to create a new character, it will not oad the new pc screen,. has anyone else ran across this? and if so how to fix it.

i have 2.7.0 and loaded the revised books. I was able to build and ewok jedi with no issues. What problems are you having that I can assist you with?

PCGen problems

Hi,
I was having similar problems, and they ended up being due to laziness, I did a clean reinstall of PCGen, (always recomended! wipe the slate clean and install again), but after reading the FAQ about the downloads, I didn't bother to download part 3, (since it was only documentation and would rarely change), I found I was having similar problems as you, but with Spycraft. Downloading the relevant part3 and doing yet another clean install solved the problem. Incidentally, thanks to whoever it was in this forum who pointed me in the right direction about clean installs!

PCGen is not the Character Generator packaged with the PHB. PCGen is a separate program developed by another group. The link is in the post above this one.

Im new...

How do I get it to print my character? I get an error that tells me I am missing several files and that I need to download pdf.zip.

Any ideas?

The pdf.zip file contains all of the necessary stuff for printing characters (as you have noticed )

Heres the file you're looking for, although it took some digging to find it. Anyway to have a link for it placed on the first page Leopold? Might make it a little easier for the newer users to find it.

Another question:

How do I equip a masterwork weapon or even something like a quarterstaff +1.

I know how to equip the quarterstaff, but how do I give it qualities like Masterwork or +1 or whatever?

As you can see, I am new to PCGen. I really like it though!
