PCGen 4.1.4 is available

Domain spells have been tightened up, so let us
know if there are any remaining issues with
that functionality! A "Descriptor" column
has been added to the "Available" table on
the spell tab. Pre-requisites which depend upon
caster level now take into account bonus levels
from other classes (e.g. Metamagic feat
requirements). The Touch AC and Flat AC
calculations on the character sheets have
also been updated and should be correct.

Below is a list of everything that has been
addressed in this release. If you reported one
of these, please verify that it is was addressed
properly. PCGen is available at
http://pcgen.sourceforge.net , and the main
discussion group is at
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/pcgen . Be sure to
download at least the first two parts of PCGen...
pcgen414_part1of3.zip and pcgen414_part2of3.zip.
Please download both of these files!
There's also pcgen414_part3of3.zip which is the
complete documentation.

We've got some OS-specific installs of PCGen to help
those who have trouble installing the generic
version available in our yahoo group files page.

Importing Old Data files for PcGen?

Can you import Old data files into the newer PCGens?

I have the "taboo" files and want to know if they import into the new version before i download and install it.

Im still using 3.0.0

how do you get PCGen to work?

I downloaded PCGen, unzipped it, then couldn't find anything resembling a program to run. Also, there was no info on how to install it on the website...very confusing.

yes just run the lst convertor under the Tools drop down menu. Select the appropriate files and hit the run button.

There is 3 zip files. Download all 3. Unzip them in the same dir. make sure you have java runtime enviornment version 1.4.1. Rn the file pcgen.jar and you will have pcgen up and runnin!

Look in the folder where you uninstalled all three of the PCGen zip files. There should be a file called options.ini there. Delete it, and then try running PCGen again.

I'm not sure if that will fix the problem or not, but that is where to find the file the error message referred you to.
