I'll help. In any way i can.

I'd prefer to see a board of people who do the voting who are not just d20 people. There of course could be a peoples choice award. But if you expect us (or anyone?) to take this seriously it'll have to be more then just calling for people on ENWorld to vote. Both because there are plenty of non-d20 products that are good and because ENWorld fanboys way outnumber ther rest of us.

When our market is very limited in its consumer base, having a "popularity contest" would simply consist of people voting for a product they recognize rather than its merits. And I like the idea of starting the first year with a core panel (which can be selected by those of us in the industry or by an open poll, whichever) and then including publishers and other winners as they receive awards in the years to come. Very good idea. Any suggestions for creating our first panel would be very much appreciated.
I'm glad to see some support coming in. As I said before, however, it would be good to come up with an official name for the festival and awards. Mortality Radio, who will likely host the awards live, will be having its PDF show in less than a week and I would like to have an official announcement ready by then. Are there any other suggestions for names?
