PDF of the srd......and work involved

I found several good SRD-PDF's in Kazaa.

So you should download and look at these before you spend much time and work for your Version. Nothing is more frustrating when you find something for free when you have spent much time and Energy for it.

Have FUN!

When you say good, you mean with a good hyperlink index?

Bookmarks are also a must too. :) The ability to copy and paste out of it is also nice. Too bad you can't set it up so I can add to it without Acrobat. ;)

CRGreathouse[/] PDFs are searchable (assuming you downloaded the correct version of Acrobat) and can have external hyperlinks (IIRC). The only real question for me is internal hyperlinks: possible or impossible?
Yes...they are possible
[i]Originally posted by Henrix said:
Perhaps itcould be sold (cheaply!) with winnings going to a good cause, the survival of these boards?
Or perhaps that is a bad idea, and not what cybernetic wanted to do?

[Edit] Or perhaps a some sort of donationware, essentially free, but if you think it is worth something donate a few <insert currency of choice> [/Edit]

I really like the "donationware" idea....essentially free...but allowing people to make donations if they like it....I wouldn't mind the donations going to EnWorld or these message boards either!! that is a great idea.....

My intentions is pretty much to provide a professional, well-made, easy to use pdf guide to the SRD....for gamers and publishers alike...

Bookmarks are definate.....period..they're gonna be there......I'm not sure about the cut and past though.....i doubt its possible without acrobat...but I'll still look into it...and about the closest to adding to it without acrobat is prolly going to be emailing me so I can update....(which I will do automatically when the SRD is updated...) I was doing a HTML version, mainly so i could hyperlink EVERYTHING. For instance, hyperlinks between the short form description in the spell lists to the actual spell description is a must.

Ok....the project is underway....and I have started research and tracking down every bit of info and stuff related to the SRD....I am also trying to find an actual Lawyer to help in a user friendly translation.... I have a couple "possible" willing to help on this for free (I don't plan on charging for the book...but allow donations that will be given to En World to helo with the site and message boards)...its just they have other engagments that have higher priority....so I'm not sure if they'll be able to come through.....so let know if you are or know a lawyer that would be willing to help out the d20/OGL community....
