One thing I'd really like, either as PDF or as HTML, would be to have the SRD
thoroughly hyperlinked. I mean hyperlinked to the point where each weapon in the weapon table has a link to the description of the weapon, the description links back, and any footnotes in the table are linked as well. Also, every time a spell or other special ability is mentioned, it should link to the description of that ability. In the spell descriptions, any keywords that have specific game meaning (like "(object)" in the save line, or "(D)" in the duration line) should be linked to the definition of that keyword. It would also be great if the summon monster/nature's ally lists of summonable thingies linked to the stats for the monster (idea: include those, complete with templates, in the SRD as well - they're done on the web somewhere).
Oh, and another thing: abandon the troublesome table layout of those monsters that combine multiple monsters under one heading. What I mean with this is that the current SRD does something like this for demons:
Code:
[COLOR=silver]
Dretch (Tanar'ri) Quasit
Small Outsider (Chaotic, Evil) Tiny Outsider (Chaotic, Evil)
Hit Dice: 2d8 (9 hp) 3d8 (13 hp)
Initiative: +0 +3 (Dex)
Speed: 20 ft 20 ft, fly 50 ft (perfect)[/COLOR]
(I hope the formatting came out right in that one)
Instead, it should look like this (the same as most monsters):
Dretch (Tanar'ri)
Small Outsider (Chaotic, Evil)
Hit Dice: 2d8 (9 hp)
Initiative: +0
Speed: 20 ft
Quasit
Tiny Outsider (Chaotic, Evil)
Hit Dice: 3d8 (13 hp)
Initiative: +3 (Dex)
Speed: 20 ft, fly 50 ft (perfect)
Of course, this is just my opinion on what the most useful version would look like... I'm not the one doing the work, but something like this would be
kjempegrejt, as our Western neighbours say.
