PDF products I'd like to see

I don't mean to be a tease, but I figure I'd let you know about a few things:

In that vein, I'd like more products that add a folkloric feel to D20. Myth, folklore and fairy tales are a rich vein of inspiration for games, but so far, they've mostly been used in non-core games.
We have a new line in the works called Terra Mythica, which seeks to recapture the myths of Earth for d20. Sure, Earth's myths have been the inspiration for a lot of what we know as staple in D&D/d20, but in most cases, what appears in myth and what appears in the game would hardly call each other kin. As I said, this is still in the works, but I hope to have it debut before summer.

I'd love more products in this vein, like foods and drinks (not magical, although those are fun)
Check. There's a Bardic Lore I am writing with various fantasy drinks based on real world ones (and it may even include some actual recipes!).

gods for non-adventurers (very few adventurers would be midwives or worry about the viability of the harvest, but both would be critical to a community)
Check. Bardic Lore: Practical Magic is also being worked on by yours truly, providing a small glimpse into practical uses for all that magical power floating around in your typical campaign world.

Sorry if I can't give you more specifics as to release dates, but rest assured they are coming. You can just keep an eye on our website, www.highmoonmedia.com, or on EN World's front page news.

Glassteel
Wow, I LOVED that spell. We used to abuse it, of course (this was back in my group's early days of playing AD&D), but it was great. :)

Sounds interesting. The one based on India mentioned on your forums doesn't blow my skirt up personally, but I know if I was running "Mindshadows" (which I'm toying with getting), I'd be all over it. (Incidentally, since you're doing some Green Ronin setting adventures, please consider Freeport and Redhurst, if possible, especially the latter.)

I'll definitely keep an eye out for that.

Excellent. I'll be first in line to, er, download. :p

Glad we piqued your curiosity. The Indian supplement mentioned on the boards is only the first of various ones. I'll be nice and tell you another one about 80% done is on creatures from Jewish myth (Talmud, Midrash and Aggadot).

Though Freeport is mostly OGC, we haven't ventured into its shores yet. Redhurst, however, belongs to Human Head Studios and is not covered by the current license GR has for adventure support. You may want to write to Human Head Games at info@humanhead.com and see if they have anything planned.

Take care.

The Big Book of ...

I'm a great fan of "toolkit" books; books that give you a whole slew of new options and let you pick what you like best. In that vein...

I'd like to see all these dwarf handbooks and elf handbooks and half-orc handbooks picked over, gone through, and distilled into "The Big Book of X"(Dwarves, Elves, Half-Orcs, whatever).

I want mountain dwarves, hill dwarves, grey dwarves, deep dwarves, steel dwarves, ice dwarves, stone dwarves, gem dwarves, riding dwarves, jungle dwarves, swamp dwarves, sea dwarves, rot dwarves, fire dwarves, earth dwarves, asian dwarves, native american dwarves, south american dwarves, african dwarves, and polynesian dwarves, all together, all in one great big dwarf-a-phile accessory. Plus paragon classes, racial feats, a creation myth or seven, and at least one iconic dwarven pantheon, plus a few other deities for non-pantheistic dwarves. And, I want it all OGC (except, maybe, the artwork).

I'm tired of having my fun doled out two subraces at a time.

I'd do this myself, but realisticly, it'd never happen, unless I can get at least a few co-authors.

And I don't want just dwarves, mind you. I want Elves, and Halflings, and Gnomes, too.

That's all.
Nell.

I would like to see one or more supplements for GR's Psychic Handbook- more skills and feats, monsters, PrCs and an examination of social issues due to the existance of psychics. Since most psi lovers are more apt to go with WoTC's psionics, I think support for the PH is better as a pdf.

Well, can't a publisher just get permission to use the closed content? I see the occasional mention in the PI declaration that some material is based off of WoTC PI and used with permission (the only ones I can think of at the moment are GR and AEG).

Yes, and it'd probably be easier to get permission to work off of those than to use the name Greyhawk, or even illithid. But you still have to ask, probably sign a contract, and play by the rules they set up -- which may not move their charts in OGC territory and could cripple yours.

Just thinking positive,
Nell.

Or you could always write a tool to create distribution charts and let other people enter in the stuff identical to the DMG...or whatever they feel like.
