The Penny Arcade Expo is a gamer-created three day game festival the weekend after Gencon in Seattle, WA (August 26, 27, 28). It's run by Penny Arcade (http://www.penny-arcade.com), and gives equal space to the three mighty pillars of gaming: tabletop, videogames, and computer games. In addition to games, tournaments, and freeplay areas there are industry panels, a huge exhibitor hall with unreleased playable games, and four nerdcore concerts. Last year's show saw the world public playable premier of Halo 2 and the mighty, multidisciplinary, $25,000 Omegathon competition. It's a total blast. Details at http://www.pennyarcadeexpo.com.
