There are little gems in the rules that get a chuckle from me, such as the focus for the Detect Thoughts spell being a penny. This goes back to 1E's ESP spell, but it still strikes me funny when I see it. Are there other little bits you have discovered, or rediscovered, that manage to tickle your funny bone?

Hmm, maybe that bat familiar comes in a little more handy now. On a real bad day, arcane spellcasters might have to give their bats White Castle hamburgers just to make sure they have enough material components on hand.

My personal favorites were the flavor text from the 1st edition cantrips.

The mystic words Ron-son or Zip-oh for the Firefinger cantrip, for instance.

Or the ZZZT! for the exterminate cantrip, which killed one insect with a tiny bolt of lightning.

And I believe the words for the Flavor cantrip were "mmm-mmm" (as in Campbell Soup's "mmm-mmm good"), but I could be mistaken.
