I'm just a bit... I'm not sure what the right word is. I had this picture in my head of Pontiff Jaela; kinda like that little girl from the Silent Hill movie. *shrug* I guess everyone has their preconceived notions.

What? Wow..uhm..is this true. Is Xendrik suppose to be analogous of Africa, cause if so that's disturbing to me on so many levels.

Yeah, it's notably dumb. But from various scuttlebutt, I've heard that it's part of the core Eberron concept in the way that, say, Bloodstone Pass is a part of the Forgotten Realms.

Xen'drick is an analog of Central and South America, with tiny bits of fantasy Africa thrown in.

No reason for it to be. I mean, it's should have been obvious all this time that it has some roots in the Africa of ERB/Tarzan and such, with it's lost civilizations and all. But the art, the Rakshasas, etc, are more evocative of Mayan/Incan/Aztec ruins and all.

Yeah, but the fallen civilization of giants overthrown by nightmares from the plane of dreams is still a dead ringer for Africa. :\

I dont see why the issue of Skin tone as a race needs to have any play in our game worlds at all.

It's just not important. If you're black your black, or brown or yellow, or peach or green. Who cares. I never really paid attention.

Thats the good thing about D&D the human race really is one race -_- (unless they have a template!)
