Anyone remember my question? Well I just went ahead and asked her today...she said yes with a hint of "About time you asked."

Thanks for the advice.

While I didn't see your original post asking for advice about this, let me be the first to say congrats!

Although, the way some relationships change after marriage occurs... :p

i remember, and believe i was the first to urge you on. good man darklance.

now, be nice! getting "in" is the easy part....staying in takes work, if it is worth it.

congrats.

I remember that post, although I didn't chime in since so many people gave the same advice I would.

Congrats, man! I know it was tough to do, but it'll be worth it in the long run.

That's great! Reminds me of myself 12 years ago. The girl that I was friends with was going out with a guy 3 years older than her (in high school, that's a big difference, especially out of school). The closer our friendship got, the more attracted to her I became, but I was shy and couldn't ask her... especially since she had a boyfriend.

Then the time came when she was having problems dealing with him because he wanted sex, and she wouldn't "put out", and he eventually stopped communicating with her because of it. So there I was, the one that was there for her... and then after a few months, I got the courage to ask her...

Our 9 year wedding anniversary is October 23rd. :D

Oh, and I taught her how to play D&D too! :D

Congrats!!! Way to go!!! Wooo Hoooo!!! :D

Speaking of "the question" I just got this in an email from a friend.

A dietitian was once addressing a large audience in Chicago:

"The material we put into our stomachs is enough to have killed most of us sitting here, years ago.
Red meat is awful. Soft drinks erode your stomach lining. Chinese food is loaded with MSG. Vegetables can be disastrous, and none of us realizes the long-term harm caused by the germs in our drinking water.
"But there is one thing that is the most dangerous of all and we all have eaten or will eat it. Can anyone here tell me what food it is that causes the most grief and suffering for years after eating it?"

A 75-year-old man in the front row stood up and said, "Wedding cake."
;)

Oh, when it comes time to decided on a honeymoon location, I highly recomend Tahiti and Bora Bora. They are simply amazing.
