Tsk. Tsk. Are you trying to invent the light bulb in medieval times? Naughty metagamer.![]()
but why a glass globe?
Heh, a light bulb, that never even occurred to me for some reason.

A couple of years back I ran Sea of Blood (a 2e Sahuagin adventure) converted to 3.5e. On the fly, I described how there were these big glass globes floating in the Sahuagin city with chains attached to the bottoms to hold them to the ground. They gave off light and were used to light the city "streets".
It was just for flavor and I wasn't expecting a PC to cut through a chain and stuff a globe in her bag of holding. Now, every once in awhile, the party uses it as a torch even though it's the size of a basketball and a bit heavy.
I was just wondering how an item like that would have been made and what it would cost. I figured Light would make the most sense, but I forgot all about Continual Flame. I can just call it a Continual Light spell.

Thanks guys!
