Persistent Spell Feat questions

Arcanus

First Post
I want to make a 16th level Sorcerer/ElderDruid/EldritchMaster.

One of my feats will be Persistent Spell.
How does it work and WHAT spells and such could I or should I use it on?

Will it work on Mace of Odo from Magic Of Faerun?
The spell has a fixed range of 0 ft. and it has no target, just an effect which is a mace of force. Could you do this?

I am planning on having Shield, Divine Favor, Blazing Shield and Arcane Sight up as Persistent Spells most of the time.

Any other suggestions?

Elder Druid is from a Dragon Mag. along with the Eldritch Master.

I am planning on using the clerics spell list as the special class feature of the Eldritch Master at 4th level in that class.

Persistent Spell works on spells that have a fixed range, or a personal range. The spell must have a duration as well. Touch range spells, such as Fly, cannot be made Persistent. Summon Monster cannot be made Persistent, since it's range varies, depending on the spellcaster's level. True Seeing can be made Persistent, along with many Divination spells.

Persistant spells cannot have Range: Touch, we had that yesterday during our game and I remembered only that, but not why it was that way?

Could someone quickly answer, why the Touch is not a fixed range again?

About the question:

I don't know either of those classes, do they allow divine spells as arcane spells or is that character both a divine and an arcane spellcaster?

Anyways, Divine Favor is clearly one of the more powerful persistant spells. Shield and Arcane Sight are also good options.

See Invisibility might come in handy, too!
Expeditious Retreat maybe?

Okay so does Mace of Odo Apply?

It has a fixed range of zero ft. A duration of 1 round per level.
IT lists no target or area of effect, only the effect is "Mace of Force

I agree with ya............I use Persistant all the time nowadays with my 14th lvl cleric.........that makes +4 on attack and +4 on dmg. You'll be a flood of destruction!

*sigh* If only that pesky Dispel Magic wouldn't exist.............;)
